Traveling Workshop Grants

Eligibility Requirements

AMATYC Institutional Members and Affiliates may apply; Institutional Members will be given preference.

Grant Requirements

Traveling Workshop Facilitator(s) must follow current AMATYC policies regarding reimbursement (airfare maximums, per diem amounts, receipt requirements). In particular, please note that no funds will be disbursed before the workshop occurs and that AMATYC will reimburse the TWF(s) and the affiliate or the institution.

Grant Funding & Reimbursement

Example of a Traveling Workshop on a $1,500 budget, and note that grant funds will be disbursed under the following conditions: An honorarium of $750 for the Traveling Workshop Facilitator (a W-9 is required to process the honorarium, and if there are multiple Traveling Workshop Facilitators, they split the $750 honorarium). Any remaining funds, approximately $750, are used to cover expenses such as airfare, lodging,  per diem amounts, location of the Traveling Workshop, food and supplies for participants, if applicable.

The TW Coordinator will email an AMATYC Reimbursement form and guidelines for completing.  Upon the conclusion of the Traveling Workshop (within 30 days of the date of the TW), email the AMATYC Traveling Workshop Coordinator the completed AMATYC Reimbursement Form and receipt(s).

Submission of an AMATYC News Article

The Traveling Workshop Director (you) will submit an article regarding the TW, that will be printed in the AMATYC News and linked to the Traveling Workshop Proceedings Website. The article must be received before the institution or affiliate can be reimbursed for remaining TW costs as noted above. Examples can be found on the TW Proceedings Page.
